Life moves quickly. We meet expectations, care for others, respond to responsibilities and keep going. Before long, our decisions can become shaped by habit, obligation and survival rather than by conscious choice.
Have you ever stopped to ask yourself: Is the life I'm living the life I truly want?
If that question resonates with you, this workshop is for you.
Created especially for Black women and women of Black mixed heritage, this online workshop offers a supportive space to pause, reflect and reconnect with what matters most in this season of your life.
Together, we will explore:
✨ What it means to live by design rather than by default
✨ A values audit to uncover what matters most to you
✨ A life review to identify where your time, energy and priorities are currently being invested
✨ Practical steps to bring your daily choices into alignment with the life you want to build
Through guided reflection, practical exercises and meaningful conversations with other Black women, you'll gain greater clarity about your values, recognise where your life may be out of alignment, and leave with practical actions to help you move forward with intention.
If you would like to continue this work beyond the workshop, you'll also have the opportunity to learn more about My Whole Self Collective which is a 12-month coaching and counselling journey for Black women who want to grow in clarity, confidence and wholeness within a supportive community.

About me
I am Maryane Mwaniki, Counsellor, Coach, and Founder of My Whole Self Collective and Eden Relationships.
For over 15 years, I've supported individuals, couples, leaders and communities through healing, growth and change. My passion is helping Black women and women of Black mixed heritage gain greater clarity, confidence and emotional wellbeing so they can live with intention and become their whole selves.
As a Black woman, I understand how easy it is to lose yourself while carrying responsibilities and meeting expectations. I also know the freedom that comes from reconnecting with who you are and choosing a life that reflects your values.
I believe every Black woman deserves the opportunity to become her whole self—living with authenticity, purpose and confidence.
"Your whole self is not too much. It is the part of you that deserves to be seen, heard, cared for and honoured."
I'd love to welcome you to this workshop.

The Relationship You've Been Neglecting: Yourself

It is time to lean into self-compassion, and step out of self-abandonment.
I want to be honest with you
For years I was addicted to achieving. My identity was wrapped up in work, in being capable, in keeping going no matter what. And then life happened. Loss, ill health, a series of crises that brought me face to face with something I had long been avoiding: myself.
Learning to stop merely existing through struggle, and start living fully in my calling, changed everything. It is the reason I became a counsellor and coach. And it is the reason I created this workshop.
I work with Black women every day who are exhausted. Not just physically, but in their souls. Women who give everything to everyone and have quietly lost touch with themselves in the process. Women who are strong because they feel they have no other choice.
I know that feeling. And I know what is possible on the other side of it.
Not everyone can access counselling or coaching, and that matters to me deeply. So I am offering this workshop free, because every woman deserves the chance to explore this for herself.
Do you recognise yourself here?
Are you exhausted from being the one who holds everything together, and still feeling guilty for even thinking about yourself?
Do you find yourself over-giving, over-functioning, and running on empty, yet struggling to ask for anything in return?
Have you been surviving for so long that you've almost forgotten what it feels like to simply live?
You are not alone. And this is not weakness. For many Black women, strength has been both a gift and a survival strategy. Learned early, worn daily, and rarely put down. But carrying that weight indefinitely comes at a cost: to your mental and emotional health, your sense of self, your spiritual wellbeing, and your relationships.
This workshop is for the woman who is ready to stop just surviving and start truly living.
What we will explore together:
✨ The Strong Black Woman: where it comes from and what it costs We will look honestly at where the expectation to always be strong, selfless, and unshakeable comes from, culturally, historically, and personally, and the real impact it has on your mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual wellbeing.
✨ The roles we default to under stress and the Drama Triangle we get stuck in When we are overwhelmed, many of us fall into patterns of rescuing, people-pleasing, or quietly resenting, without even realising it. We will explore the Drama Triangle, how it plays out in your relationships, and how to step out of it for good.
✨ Your Relationship Audit A guided, honest look at where you currently are in your relationship with yourself and with others, so you can see clearly what is working, what is not, and what needs to change.
✨ Tools and insights for your soft life You will leave with practical tools to understand what gets in the way of living fully, and how to build the foundation for a life where you feel whole, at peace, and able to enjoy healthier, more nourishing relationships with yourself and others.
This workshop is for you if you...
Feel emotionally drained from always being "the strong one" for family, friends, colleagues, everyone
Find it almost impossible to put yourself first without a wave of guilt washing over you
Feel disconnected from who you really are beneath the roles and responsibilities you carry
Are navigating burnout, chronic people-pleasing, or the quiet grief of self-abandonment
Long for relationships, including the one with yourself, that feel genuinely nourishing
Are ready to choose self-compassion over self-abandonment
What to expect
This is a warm, culturally attuned, and reflective space. I have created it specifically for Black women and women of Black mixed heritage, and I hold it with great care.
You do not need to have it all figured out. You do not need to perform or present a version of yourself that is coping. You simply need a willingness to show up honestly, and I will meet you there.
You can expect:
Therapeutic teaching and coaching insight
Guided reflection and your personal Relationship Audit
Breakout discussion with other women
Practical tools for emotional awareness and relational healing
